How to set left and right hand in CS2
On the day of the official release of Counter-Strike 2, the community was shocked by the fact that the game lacked the ability to change hands. Six months later, after numerous requests, the developers returned this functionality to the game. In this article we will tell you how to make the left hand in CS2.
In CS2, by default, weapons are displayed on the right side of the screen. Many players don’t like this, as they are used to a different hand placement from previous versions of CS.
How did changing hands work in CS:GO?
In CS:GO it was quite simple. The cl_righthand console command was responsible for changing hands. Setting it to “1” would set the right hand position, and setting it to “0” would set the left hand position. You could also easily bind to any convenient button and change hands without even going to the console.
Setting the left hand in CS2
Seven months after the official release of CS2, the developers have finally added a feature to the game that allows you to change your hand from right to left hand. You can change your main hand either before the match starts or during the game. Valve has added a special bind, which is set to the English letter “H” by default. When changing hands during a match, a short weapon draw animation will be played, so it will be impossible to fire immediately after pressing the button.
You can also set the left hand permanently. Go to “settings”, then “game”, then “item” and find the “preferred hand view model” field. Set it to right or left, as desired.
